Amarillo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the San Angelo Central Bobcats 48-45. Given the Sandies' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 352nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
