Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. New Albany Eagles

Bishop Watterson will face off against New Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Bishop Watterson is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Lincoln, who was ranked 11th at the time (Bishop Watterson was ranked 14th). The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Lions on Saturday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

If Newark wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played New Albany, they should've done a better job of containing Adam Sutton. The Eagles came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Thursday for which the team can thank Sutton, who had 12 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 20-25, 25-17, 25-12.

New Albany is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Bishop Watterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
