Football Game Preview: Plattsburgh Hornets vs. Ticonderoga Sentinels

The Plattsburgh Hornets will challenge the Ticonderoga Sentinels at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ticonderoga took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Plattsburgh, who comes in off a win.

Plattsburgh is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 39-30 win over Beekmantown on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their six-point performance the game before.

Plattsburgh's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colden Johnson led the charge by throwing for 113 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. The Hornets' leading receiver Ryan Colburn was Johnson's top target yet again, picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Ticonderoga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 33-14 to Moriah.

Ticonderoga's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Plattsburgh, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Plattsburgh strolled past Ticonderoga when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 23-8. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sentinels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
