Softball Recap: Nelson Comes Up Short

Barlow hit Nelson with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Nelson fell 8-4 to Barlow. Nelson was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Barlow earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Nelson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Osterholm, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Nelson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Barlow, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nelson is set to challenge their familiar foe Sandy on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Barlow will face off against rival Gresham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
