Football Recap: Brooks Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Brooks's offense. They had to suffer through a 60-0 loss at the hands of Chicago Hope Academy. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 446th, while Chicago Hope Academy are ranked 121st).

Brooks' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chicago Hope Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Brooks and Chicago Hope Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to take on their familiar foe Simeon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chicago Hope Academy will challenge rival Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
