Softball Recap: Southern Wayne Saints vs. West Johnston Wildcats
Southern Wayne extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-20 in the process. They came up short against the West Johnston Wildcats, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Saints' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for West Johnston, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
