Basketball Recap: Valencia Skates Past Moorpark with Ease + How To Watch

Valencia won the last time they faced Moorpark and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings breezed past the Musketeers to the tune of 76-23. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 43 points or more this season.

Valencia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamilla Basyrova, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 16 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Basyrova is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Sophia Sarkar was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 16 points along with five assists and five steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Valencia was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Moorpark's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Keila Barger, who posted five points, and Sam Olivas, who put up ten points.

The win keeps Valencia at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 73.5 points this season. As for Moorpark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Valencia will face off against Redondo Union at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moorpark, they have already played their next game, a 57-13 win against Santa Clara on the 29th.
