Recap: Whitefield Academy Lions vs. Faith Christian Academy Knights
The Whitefield Academy Lions lost against the Faith Christian Academy Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Whitefield Academy took a serious blow against Faith Christian Academy, falling 62-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Whitefield Academy has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max McMillen, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Justus Standlea, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Whitefield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Faith Christian Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitefield Academy will challenge Heritage Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maranatha Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Maranatha Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 297th in Kansas, while Faith Christian Academy is ranked 88th in Missouri).
