Soccer Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lambert Longhorns. While losing is never fun, Sequoyah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Lambert are ranked fourth).

Sequoyah's goal came courtesy of Kate Courchene, which was the first she's scored this season.

Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lambert, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sequoyah will challenge Etowah at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lambert, they will take on North Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
