Volleyball Recap: Rainier Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Rainier was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Raymond/South Bend on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountaineers lost 3-0 to the Cascade Christian Cougars on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountaineers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-14.

Sophie Janho was the offensive standout of the match as she had 19 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in November of 2024.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Cascade Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Rainier has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hoquiam on the 16th. As for Cascade Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Cedar Park Christian on the 17th.
