Softball Game Preview: Wallkill Valley Rangers vs. Newton Braves

Wallkill Valley is 2-8 against Newton since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rangers will host the Braves at 4:00 p.m. Wallkill Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Newton will be coming in after a defeat.

Wallkill Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Belvidere, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rangers were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the County Seaters on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

Meanwhile, Newton fell victim to Warren Hills Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Blue Streaks, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Braves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wallkill Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Newton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
