Baseball Recap: Tavares Comes Up Short

Tavares lost against Umatilla back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Tavares came up short against Umatilla, falling 13-1. Tavares has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tavares saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Berding, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Tavares' record now sits at 3-6. As for Umatilla, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Tavares will head out to square off against Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Umatilla, they will face off against Pine Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Pine Ridge: 2.6, Umatilla: 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
