Basketball Recap: Box Elder Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Box Elder won the last time they faced Bonneville, and Mayson Jeppsen did his part to make sure it happened again. The Box Elder Bees came out on top against the Bonneville Lakers by a score of 62-52 on Wednesday thanks in part to Jeppsen, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

When it comes to explaining why Bonneville lost, don't look at Ben Tesch. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 17 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Tesch is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Landis, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

Box Elder's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12. As for Bonneville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Box Elder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-46 win against Clearfield on the 17th. As for Bonneville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-46 loss against Viewmont on the 17th.
