Softball Recap: Ferndale Takes a Loss

Ferndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 20-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Adriana Christofaro was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tabitha Weaver, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Ferndale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Troy, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

While Ferndale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
