Baseball Recap: North Takes a Loss

North managed to slip by Hastings the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Polars lost 18-4 to the Raiders on Wednesday. The Polars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Carter Schneider made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Bobby Papenguth also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Hastings, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North is set to square off against their familiar foe Simley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hastings will take on rival Two Rivers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for the Raiders: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Warriors have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
