Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). Their defense stepped up to hand the East Hall Vikings a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Dragons have won five matches by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Jefferson's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for East Hall, they dropped their record down to 2-6-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Jefferson will face off against Dawson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Dawson County's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for East Hall, they will welcome Gainesville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
