Basketball Recap: Elkhart Comes Up Short

After flying high against Goodwell last Tuesday, Elkhart came back down to earth. The Elkhart Wildcats were beaten by the Syracuse Bulldogs 71-35 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Syracuse, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Elkhart will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Moscow at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Elkhart is facing Moscow at the right time seeing as Moscow is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Syracuse also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Lakin at 6:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
