With a playoff win on the line, Slinger rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Germantown Warhawks. For the Owls, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Warhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

Miley Quade paced Slinger's offense, picking up nine kills. Quade got some help from Ella Kohnen and her 28 assists. Kohnen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Slinger's win bumped their record up to 21-13. As for Germantown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-22 record this season.

Slinger will be playing in front of their home fans against Fond du Lac at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Owls surely won't give up without a fight. Germantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
