Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] came tearing into Monday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 68-47 margin over the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers. The Wolverines' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Mountain Iron-Buhl's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Neyens, who went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points. Thanks to that strong game, Neyens now owns an excellent 45.3% shooting accuracy. Sami Warwas was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia]'s victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points over those games. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, their loss ended an 18-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 19-3.

Coming up, Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] will head out to challenge Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
