Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short

Plainfield Central lost against Downers Grove South back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

Milo Nelson paced Plainfield Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Nelson were helped by Chris McCauley and Vincent Trevino, who contributed nine assists each. Finally, Trevino was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Downers Grove South, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Plainfield Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Glenbard North on the 12th. As for Downers Grove South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Francis on the 12th.
