Baseball Game Preview: Eupora Eagles vs. Sebastopol Bobcats

Eupora has won five straight games at home, while Sebastopol has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. Eupora will host Sebastopol at 7:00 p.m.

Eupora lost 14-4 to Houston on Saturday.

Eupora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Crimm, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Crimm has become a key player for Eupora: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Sebastopol got themselves on the board against Scott Central on Saturday, but Scott Central never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.

Connally Gaddis made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Gaddis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Mays McDill and Luke McGarrity did most of the damage at the plate: McDill scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while McGarrity scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-4. McGarrity is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Harrison Peebles, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sebastopol was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Eupora now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Sebastopol, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Everything went Eupora's way against Sebastopol in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Eupora made off with a 16-4 victory. Does Eupora have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sebastopol turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
