Basketball Recap: Fort Madison Beats Washington for Their Fifth Straight Win

Fort Madison hadn't done well against Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Fort Madison Bloodhounds came out on top against the Washington Demons by a score of 57-45. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-28 back in January.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Fort Madison, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. As for Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Coming up, Fort Madison will square off against Keokuk at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Keokuk's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Washington, they will welcome Mediapolis on February 15th. Mediapolis knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Washington likes a good challenge.
