Superior waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the San Simon Longhorns 18-3. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly 15 runs.

Alyna Cruz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Superior got a massive performance out of Lilliana Fritz, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Kadynce Toner was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Superior's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for San Simon, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Superior will host Ray at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.14 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for San Simon, they will take on Duncan at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
