Basketball Recap: Enka Jets vs. T.C. Roberson Rams
The Enka Jets lost against the T.C. Roberson Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Enka fell 56-44 to the Rams. Enka has not had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Jets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Waddell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Logan Trantham, who scored seven points.
Jacob McGraw continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for T.C. Roberson, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Dean Lowe was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Enka now has a losing record at 9-10. As for T.C. Roberson, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enka will take on the Titans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDowell is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road. As for T.C. Roberson, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. One thing working in Asheville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
