Volleyball Recap: MacDonald Comes Up Short + How To Watch

MacDonald lost against Fremont back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Condor came up short against the Firebirds, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11, 25-20.

Nina Blanusa paced MacDonald's offense, picking up eight kills. Blanusa got some help from Hana Aman and her ten assists. Makayla Tacci controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Fremont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zoe Shie led the charge by getting nine digs and two aces. Shie is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Sophia Liu also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

MacDonald has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season. As for Fremont, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

MacDonald wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Wilcox on the 25th. As for Fremont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Lynbrook on the 25th.
