Basketball Recap: Pineview Christian's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Trinity Christian Homeschool two weeks ago, Pineview Christian came back down to earth. The Pineview Christian Warriors took a hard 78-59 fall against the Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen on Friday. The contest was a 32-32 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

It was another big night for Joshua Everett, who posted 42 points and three steals for Glen Iris Baptist. Everett has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Elliot Dickey, who scored 11 points.

Pineview Christian moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Glen Iris Baptist, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pineview Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against First Assembly Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glen Iris Baptist, they will face off against East Central HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
