Volleyball Recap: Paola Beats Burlington for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Paola waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Burlington Wildcats. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win last Thursday.

Paola had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Amanda Pitzer paced Paola's offense, picking up 11 kills. Pitzer got some help from Kinzley Meinig and her 16 assists.

Paola's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Burlington, their loss dropped their record down to 24-6-1.

Paola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Iola on the 11th. As for Burlington, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Labette County on the 11th.
