Preview: Live Oak Eagles vs. Fontainebleau Bulldogs
The Live Oak Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Fontainebleau Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Live Oak is ranked 75th, while Fontainebleau is ranked 56th).
Live Oak unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 60-49 to Parkview Baptist.
Meanwhile, Fontainebleau slipped by Archbishop Chapelle 39-38 on Saturday.
It was another big night for Brooklynne Callahan, who scored 19 points along with three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Annalise Shidel was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Live Oak's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Fontainebleau, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
Live Oak came up short against Fontainebleau in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 37-33. Can Live Oak avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
