Volleyball Game Preview: Bayside Marlins vs. Kempsville Chiefs + Official Tickets

The Bayside Marlins will head out to take on the Kempsville Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Bayside didn't have quite enough to beat Cox and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Bayside sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Kempsville hadn't done well against Princess Anne recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Chiefs blew past the Cavaliers 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won three in a row.

While Kempsville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-24, 25-15.

Kempsville's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Bayside, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Bayside came up short against Kempsville in their previous meeting back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Marlins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
