Northwest Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Wyalusing Valley Rams get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. The Rangers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Not much got past Jenna Robaczewski, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Wyalusing Valley off the board. With that strong performance, Robaczewski is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, Northwest Area's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Abygail Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Callie Moyer was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Northwest Area's victory bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Wyalusing Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
