Football Game Preview: Lower Cape May Tigers vs. Cedar Creek Pirates

The Lower Cape May Tigers will take on the Cedar Creek Pirates on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lower Cape May sitting on four straight victories and Cedar Creek on five.

On Friday, Lower Cape May took their game with ease, bagging a 34-6 win over Egg Harbor Township. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Eagles are ranked 266th).

Meanwhile, Cedar Creek was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Oakcrest 35-6. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won three matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Lower Cape May's record now sits at 5-1. As for Cedar Creek, their record is now an identical 5-1.

Lower Cape May was dealt a bruising 34-6 defeat at the hands of Cedar Creek in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
