Basketball Game Preview: Davis Wolves vs. Lindsay Leopards

After both having extra time off, the Davis Wolves and the Lindsay Leopards will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

In Friday's Canine Competition, Davis had to take the L. They fell 52-42 to Stratford last Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lindsay). They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Crooked Oak 77-24. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Ruf-Nex are ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lindsay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Davis didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lindsay in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 34-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Davis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
