Volleyball Recap: Lordstown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lordstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the McKinley Red Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

Lordstown couldn't get the win, but they sure gave McKinley a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-16, 25-22.

Mia Giesey paced Lordstown's offense, picking up seven kills. Giesey got some help from Kaycee Was and her 16 assists. Was was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lordstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for McKinley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Lordstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Windham on the 8th. As for McKinley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Mathews on the 8th.
