Volleyball Recap: Lordstown Red Devils vs. McKinley Red Dragons
Lordstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the McKinley Red Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.
Lordstown couldn't get the win, but they sure gave McKinley a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-16, 25-22.
Mia Giesey paced Lordstown's offense, picking up seven kills. Giesey got some help from Kaycee Was and her 16 assists. Was was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Lordstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for McKinley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.
