Soccer Game Preview: Murrieta Mesa vs. Great Oak

Murrieta Mesa is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Vista Murrieta on Monday. Murrieta Mesa fell just short of Vista Murrieta by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 915th, while the Broncos are ranked 69th).

Meanwhile, Great Oak won against Chaparral on Friday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. Great Oak walked away with a 5-3 win over Temecula Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolfpack.

Their offense was hitting Temecula Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Great Oak has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Murrieta Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12-4.
