Basketball Recap: Weehawken Comes Up Short

Weehawken lost against Rutherford on January 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Weehawken Indians came up short against the Rutherford Bulldogs, falling 43-20. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 60th).

Weehawken's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Rutherford, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weehawken has already played their next contest (against Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rutherford has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against North Arlington.
