Volleyball Recap: Lia Salvador's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hilmar over Manteca

Hilmar lost against Manteca back in October of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 2-1.

Hilmar's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lia Salvador, who had 14 digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Clare Caetano, who had seven digs and two aces.

Hilmar's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Manteca, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Hilmar has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Granite Bay on the 11th. As for Manteca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Dougherty Valley on the 11th.
