Soccer Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas managed to keep up with Spanish Springs until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars, falling 4-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Douglas of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Katelyn Coons, which was the first she's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Douglas and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1. As for Spanish Springs, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Looking ahead, Douglas will challenge Hug at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spanish Springs, they will face off against Galena at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
