Baseball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Warwick Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Wednesday.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Warwick, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monticello will take on rival Minisink Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Warwick is set to challenge their familiar foe Valley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
