Softball Recap: Model Takes a Loss

Model was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the Jackson County Generals. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Model saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josie Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Model's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Jackson County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Model will challenge Garrard County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jackson County, they will square off against Middlesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
