Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Wins High-Profile Match Against Aledo

Mansfield faced Aledo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bearcats. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

MC Crutcher paced Mansfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Crutcher got some help from Saydi Walker and her ten assists. Crutcher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Aledo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Karsyn Evans, who had 12 digs and three assists, and Kailey Hamilton, who had ten digs and seven assists.

Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Aledo, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mansfield will venture away from home to square off against Grapevine at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aledo, they will take on Midlothian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
