Schalmont not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Lansingburgh Knights as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Sabres have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Schalmont took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-5, 25-6.

Schalmont's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Holubek, who had seven aces and four digs. Those seven aces gave Holubek a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Montrym, who had four aces and one block.

They weren't the only good server: Schalmont was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.

The victory got Schalmont back to even at 3-3. As for Lansingburgh, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Schalmont will take on Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lansingburgh, they will square off against Mohonasen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
