Soccer Game Preview: Shawnee vs. Tippecanoe

The Shawnee Indians will face off against the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Shawnee is headed into Saturday's contest following a draw, the team's first since September 2. Neither they nor Memorial could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Luke McGuire hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Greenville a 9-0 shutout. Considering Tippecanoe have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Greenville from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Eli Kettel led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Shawnee's draw makes their record 7-4-2 this season. As for Tippecanoe, their win bumped their record up to 12-0-2.

Shawnee beat Tippecanoe 3-1 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
