Volleyball Recap: Junction City Comes Up Short

Junction City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Manhattan Indians. If the Bluejays were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-12.

Manhattan was led to victory by Janie Hilgers and Talia Tindall. Hilgers had nine digs and two assists, while Tindall had 13 assists and four digs. That's the most assists Hilgers has posted over her last four contests.

Junction City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Manhattan, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Junction City by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
