Basketball Recap: Win-E-Mac Comes Up Short

Win-E-Mac lost against Ada-Borup back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. 2025 welcomed the Win-E-Mac Patriots with a 76-52 loss courtesy of the Ada-Borup Cougars. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-28.

Ada-Borup's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cadyn Dahl, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Those 12 boards gave Dahl a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Larson, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds.

Win-E-Mac dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Ada-Borup, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Win-E-Mac will take on Lake Park-Audubon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Win-E-Mac is facing Lake Park-Audubon at the right time seeing as Lake Park-Audubon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ada-Borup, they will challenge Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
