Wesley Chapel extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 18-7. Everything went their way against the Springstead Eagles as they made off with a 7-0 win. Considering the Wildcats have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jazmin Hill was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other pitching news, Alana Claros looked comfortable as she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Kali Manco, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hailey Kean, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.
Wesley Chapel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
As for Springstead, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 21, 2025.
On Springstead's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylana Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Wesley Chapel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springstead, they will take on Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 1.7, the Buccaneers 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
