Volleyball Recap: Perkins Gets the Win

Perkins posted their closest victory since September 13th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clyde Fliers, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Perkins had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 23-25, 25-17, 25-15, 15-12.

Ferrell Coleman paced Perkins' offense, picking up 15 kills. Coleman got some help from Braelyn Davie and her 33 assists. Micah Slay controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The win made it two in a row for Perkins and bumps their season record up to 12-10. As for Clyde, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Perkins didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Vermilion on the 16th. As for Clyde, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Oak Harbor on the 16th.
