Baseball Game Preview: Tranquillity Tigers vs. Mendota Aztecs

Tranquillity is 0-10 against Mendota since April of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will host the Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. Tranquillity has given up an average of 17.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tranquillity is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Laton, falling 16-9. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, Mendota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 19-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orestimba. Even if the Aztecs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Tranquillity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mendota, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
