Soccer Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

The Monte Vista Monarchs came up short against the Bonita Vista Barons on Friday, falling 5-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Monarchs were already down 3-0.

Benjamin Salazar wasn't going to let Bonita Vista walk away unscathed as he scored both of Monte Vista's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bonita Vista, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Monte Vista will be taking part in a tournament against Rancho Bernardo at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Monte Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. As for Bonita Vista, they will venture away from home to take on Sweetwater at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
