Softball Recap: Ingram Moore Drops Highest Score of Season Against Brady

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ingram Moore). They blew past the Brady Bulldogs 20-5 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Kylie Traub made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Traub was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Mayhall, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February. Priscilla Cancino was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Ingram Moore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brady only posted an OBP of .400.

The win made it two in a row for Ingram Moore and bumps their season record up to 8-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Brady, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Ingram Moore has already played their next contest (against Comfort), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brady also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Blanco.
