Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central lost against Andrew Jackson back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Volunteers, falling 14-8.

Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Olney, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Dylan Tomberlin was another, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Andrew Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.

Coming up, Andrew Jackson will square off against Hartsville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Foxes will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Volunteers surely won't give up without a fight. Central will be paying especially close attention to Andrew Jackson's contest: after Andrew Jackson faces off against Hartsville, they'll take on Central again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
